Medical Billing Specialist | 6+ months, Temporary | Larkspur, CA | $23–$27/hour 

We are seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join a highly regarded and well-established healthcare organization. In this role, you will support day to day revenue cycle operations and play a key part in ensuring accurate charge capture, claims processing, and timely reimbursement across assigned specialties. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented billing professional who enjoys working collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

  • Location: 100% onsite in Larkspur, CA

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am to 5pm (slight flexibility possible)

  • Pay Range: $23–$27/hour (DOE)

  • Start Date: Within 1-2 weeks of offer

  • Employment Type: Temporary (6+ months) with potential to convert to permanent

  • Background Check: Clear criminal background check and drug screen (including cannabis)

Medical Billing Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate full cycle medical billing for assigned specialties

  • Ensure accurate charge capture and reconciliation of billing activity

  • Review and work revenue cycle work queues on a daily basis

  • Prepare, review, and submit claims and itemized bills with a high level of accuracy

  • Perform quality control checks to support prompt and correct payment

  • Serve as a billing resource to clinical and non-clinical staff

  • Communicate with coding vendors regarding procedures as needed

  • Review billing and reconciliation reports and escalate discrepancies appropriately

  • Support process improvements and maintain strong attention to detail

  • Perform related duties as assigned
