Corporate Finance and Accounting Expert Jinglin Jiang is Latest Faculty Addition

New Appointment Supports Student Growth, Career Expertise Through Improved Capacity of Accounting Program 
                                                    
Rohnert Park, California - The School of Business and Economics (SBE) at Sonoma State University (SSU) today announced the addition of Jinglin Jiang as a new Assistant Professor of Accounting, with expertise in accounting and corporate finance, including research on market disruption, policy effects on market efficiencies, and risk management in financial markets. Previously, she taught courses in Intermediate Accounting, Accounting for Managers, and Introduction to Financial and Managerial Accounting.
  
"The Accounting program is one of the most in-demand concentrations on campus and helps place more than 100 students in jobs and careers each year," Dr. William S. Silver, Dean of the School of Business and Economics said. "The addition of Professor Jiang increases our capacity to serve students with relevant knowledge at the intersection of policy, financial markets, and corporate accounting, to improve insights and add value both in the classroom and the workplace.” 
 
Current or recent papers by Jinglin Jiang include, Market Disruption and Managerial Responses: Evidence from Financial Reporting and Management Forecasts; Does a “Level Playing Field” Improve Real Efficiency? A Testing Using Disclosure Regulation; The Affordable Care Act and its Impact on Health Insurance Marketplaces; Crash Risk and Managerial Overconfidence; and Investor Expectations, Heterogeneous Beliefs, and Accounting Quality: Evidence from the Options Market. She received her Bachelor in Economics from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, and will earn her doctorate in 2017 from Rutgers Business School in New Jersey.
